Our wheat berries are a hard red winter wheat variety known as Expresso. We farmed them using organic methods, but they are not certified organic, as the field is in it's second year of the three year transition to certified organic status. When cooked, the berries have a wonderful chewy texture, and are excellent in salads, stews, and soups. They also make fantastic whole wheat pancakes when ground to flour. We hope to offer whole wheat flour here soon. The wheat berries are sold in bulk--order as many pounds as you like (enter the number of pounds you would like in the "quantity" field).
